New Jersey, USA — April 8, 2026 — U.S.-headquartered IDBIO has secured top-tier rankings in the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) IREX 10 (iris) and PFT III (fingerprint) evaluations, while completing MOSIP certification for its Enterprise Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS) and Manual Adjudication System — positioning the company for national-scale digital identity deployments worldwide.

With independently tested top-tier performance across both iris and fingerprint from a single provider, IDBIO is setting a new benchmark for speed, accuracy, and infrastructure efficiency in biometric identity systems.

NIST IREX 10: #1 Speed and Accuracy Combined

IDBIO’s iris algorithm (idbio_001) placed in the Top 10 for ranked accuracy on NIST IREX 10, delivering a Rank 1 miss rate of 0.37 percent, a two-eye FNIR of 0.51 percent at FPIR 0.01, zero failure-to-enroll, and near-zero demographic bias (McFadden’s R² ≈ 0).

Among the six fastest IREX 10 matchers (search time below 1.5 seconds), IDBIO achieves the lowest FNIR — the highest accuracy among the fastest matchers, and the fastest search time among top-accuracy providers*. IDBIO completes a 1:N search in 0.237 seconds with 1,035-byte templates, while IDEMIA requires 11 seconds with 130 KB templates, NEC takes 12 seconds with 18 KB, and Neurotechnology needs 32 seconds with 25 KB (best submission per vendor considered). At large scale, this translates to approximately 1 TB of storage versus 18–130 TB for competitors, with proportionally lower RAM and bandwidth demands.

NIST PFT III: Fastest Matcher Among Top-Accuracy Providers

IDBIO’s fingerprint matcher (idbio+0003) achieved 99.5 percent accuracy at FMR 0.0001 on the US-VISIT dataset — on par with the top tier: Neurotechnology (0.45% FNMR), IDEMIA (0.46%), Innovatrics (0.48%), ROC (0.49%), and IDBIO (0.51%) — but at just 4.0 microseconds per comparison: 28x faster than Innovatrics, 428x faster than ROC, and 1,250x faster than Neurotechnology, with 522-byte templates up to 28x smaller (best submission per vendor considered).

Among the fastest PFT III matchers, IDBIO achieves the lowest FNMR across both Port of Entry and US-VISIT scenarios* — the highest accuracy among the world’s fastest matchers, and the fastest comparison time among top-accuracy providers.

“Our NIST results and MOSIP certification prove that governments no longer have to choose between accuracy and operational efficiency. We are delivering large-scale deduplication with sub-second search latency and the industry’s most compact biometric templates, fundamentally changing the infrastructure economics of national identity programs.”

— Sundar S., CEO, IDBIO

MOSIP Certification and Global Deployments

IDBIO’s Enterprise ABIS and Manual Adjudication Client have passed the full MOSIP Compliance Toolkit covering all six ABIS operations, supporting multi-modal 1:N deduplication (face, fingerprint, iris) with sub-second latency at hundred-million-record scale. The platform deploys on-premise via Docker/Kubernetes for sovereign data control and full interoperability with MOSIP’s open-standard architecture. Compact templates and low compute demands significantly reduce infrastructure costs versus legacy ABIS platforms — making it an affordable, interoperable solution for countries building digital identity on constrained budgets.

IDBIO joins Neurotechnology, ROC, and Identy.io among MOSIP-certified ABIS providers, and holds the #1 iris and #2 face rankings on the UIDAI Biometric Challenge Leaderboard. MOSIP now counts 27 country engagements and 11 national rollouts — including the Philippines, Morocco, Ethiopia, Uganda, Zambia, Nigeria, and Togo — with Zambia’s $100 million World Bank-backed digital ID rollout targeting 2026 completion.

Target Markets

IDBIO’s NIST-tested performance and MOSIP certification position it across national ID and civil registry programs requiring affordable population-scale deduplication; border control and immigration where microsecond fingerprint verification and sub-second iris search eliminate processing bottlenecks; law enforcement and defense platforms running rapid 1:N searches against massive galleries; and fintech KYC/eKYC where ultra-compact templates — compressible down to ~150 bytes for QR-based offline authentication — enable biometric identity on mobile and low-bandwidth networks across emerging markets.
